see who we are ..

It's up to you ... most things in life are. If any of what you've read makes sense to you give me a call, we can set up an appointment. The first ones on me and we'll see how it goes. If it looks like we have a good fit, we'll take it from there. Again .. it's up to you.

Creative sessions

It is my opinion that creativity is one of the core building materials in both addiction and recovery.
Creativity  unused is extraordinarily destructive and creativity channelled is extremely productive.
The creativity used in addiction can be re-channelled in a positive direction and I  once it's rerouted away from substance abuse the likelihood of it returning to that path diminishes. I have developed a series of small workshops based on photography as the attraction for that creativity.

who am I

One of the questions at hand is who am I? It's a simple answer.

My name is Steve Campion.                                                                       I'm a commercial photographer. I have been for 35 years.  I have worked with some of the top ad agencies and companies in both Canada and the U.S. My personal work hangs in private galleries in several countries. I've been very fortunate in my career as both a commercial photographer and art photographer.

I am also an alcoholic.

I have been clean for more than 14 years.
I have lectured on creativity at both the college and university levels. I've worked with addicts institutionally and privately. I've written extensively on both subjects and have been awarded grants for my writing and art.
I make no claims to any formal education or certificates or any such paper in addictions. What I have learned and what I offer is through personal experience and observation.

                          WHO i work with

I developed this program based on what I have learned through my personal experience, through my lectures and responses to them and my conversations with my peers who have experienced the issues related to alcoholism, recovery and rebuilding a successful life.
I am fortunate to have married again in later life to a woman who holds a PhD in neurology, a medical degree and is a licensed psychiatrist.  Through this union I have had access to her knowledge, her compassion and her ability to both nurture this process and inject clinical fact.
Together we have access to her colleagues which mainly consist of doctors, clinicians and researchers and my colleagues who are professionals in the creative and financial sectors, many of which have experienced and
learned to live with their addictions.
This vast bank of input has helped develop this program and its ability
to achieve its goals of giving a well rounded life in recovery.
