Realize your power

   The amount of time and energy I used to keep drunk was absolutely incredible!

 
  I don't even want to calculate the amount of money I spent (and lost) while I was drinking. Somehow I always managed to find the money. I always managed to get my booze. I always managed to keep high and I always had a hidden stash. 

  The amount of energy I spent keeping that whole ball rolling year after year was incredible.   I still have that energy. I can manoeuvre that energy in a positive direction.

   I am still that drunk. I am still that person. I choose not to drink.                                                   

  To maintain that choice involves the expenditure of energy. In the beginning quite a lot. As I worked through my sobriety it becomes less but I still possessed all of that energy. It is my choice how I use it.
